ST. LOUIS — An investigation is underway after a man was shot after breaking into a home in St. Louis’ Walnut Park East neighborhood early Thursday morning.
Officers from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 5400 block of Beacon Avenue around 3:20 a.m. According to the police report, a 43-year-old man confronted the 38-year-old as he broke into his house - that's when he shot him.
Police said he is in critical condition.
A firearm was recovered from the scene.
