PONTOON BEACH, Ill. – Would you ever try a burger that equals the same amount as 15 McDonald’s quarter pounders?
A popular restaurant in the Metro East has a challenge for people who think they can!
The challenge at Uncle Linny’s is to eat the big burger with all the trimmings and a pound of fries in 40 minutes.
The 60-ounce burger is made of three 20-ounce burgers with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The challenge also includes one pound of fries.
Only five people have finished the challenge. It’s been going on for a few years.
Today in St. Louis’ Rene Knott stopped at the restaurant in Pontoon Beach and tried it. He made it half way through the burger challenge.
“I sank my teeth into the challenge and only lasted 13 minutes,” Knott said.
