The Bahamas still want to see you!

The best way to help the islands impacted by Hurricane Dorian, is to visit the unaffected islands!

It has been one month since we were all stunned by the incredible damage left by Hurricane Dorian across two of the most northern islands in the Bahamas. The Honorable Dionisio D’Aguilar, Minister of Tourism and Aviation for the Islands of the Bahamas joins us for an update.

Honorable D’Aguilar explains that relief and recovery efforts are continuing in their two most northern islands. The message he wants to get out to listeners is that while Dorian has significantly impacted two islands in the Bahamas, 14 of their 16 islands have emerged unscathed from this storm. The reporting and images might have given the impression that the entire country has been devastated, and that is certainly not the case!

Most people when they come to the Bahamas go to Nassau, and it was untouched. Every island except for Abaco and Grand Bahama emerged with no damage.

They like to say whatever you want to do in the Caribbean, you can do in the Bahamas!

If you want to help the Bahamas, tourism is the lifeblood of their economy! The best way you can help, is to visit. Go online and book a vacation. Most of the islands were unaffected, and they are very much open for business!

The time to visit is now! For more information, visit Bahamas.com.
