Say Bye to Blue Light Emission with these Glasses

Help protect your eyes from blue light with Bye Blue Light glasses.

ST. LOUIS — Bye Blue Light is a St. Louis-based company specializing in Blue Light Blocking Glasses. They help individuals & esports (gaming) teams safeguard their vision from the harmful effects of blue light radiation caused by digital screens.

Monday morning, co-founder and president of Bye Blue Light, Danny Define, joined Mary Caltrider live in the studio to share all about his business and how you can protect your eyes from blue light radiation.

Blue light is a short wavelength, high-energy light on the color spectrum that is visible to the human eyes. Digital screens, LED lights, and sunlight emit it. Blue light triggers your eyes to react, especially the lens, retina, and cornea.

Early research shows a link between eye damage and short-wave blue light with wavelengths between 415 and 455 nanometers. Most of the light from the LEDs used in smartphones, TVs, and tablets has wavelengths between 400 and 490 nanometers.

While natural blue light from the sun can provide benefits such as improved alertness, mood & attentiveness, artificial blue light from screens can cause negative side effects such as- digital eye fatigue, eye strain, headaches & disrupted sleep patterns (blue light suppresses melatonin production). Excessive blue light exposure can also contribute to more serious eye diseases such as Macular Degeneration.

Bye Blue Light is the Gold Standard for blue light-blocking technology. They are the only company in this space that works with board-certified Ophthalmologists & Universities to R&D our products, ensuring the highest quality glasses on the market. They successfully passed Blue Light Awareness Day in the State of Missouri, with a unanimous vote, which will observed on October 10th every year. Their mission is to promote awareness and education around blue light exposure and offer a proactive solution to safeguard visual health & overall well-being.
