PARIS, France — The countdown is on! Today, April 17, marks 100 days until the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
It's going to be a spectacular event. The Opening Ceremony starts July 26 and will take place on the Seine River. There will be boats representing each national delegation. It will go down in history as the first opening ceremony to not take place in a stadium.
Many people will be traveling to France for the Olympic Games. It takes roughly a 10 and a half hour flight from St. Louis to Paris, France, which equals 4,380 miles.
Wednesday morning, the Marys chatted about what sports and competitions they're most excited to see, and Mary Caltrider shared a few pictures of her recent trip to Paris.
Show Me St. Louis will be going dark for two weeks for the Olympic Games. You can watch every moment live starting July 26 right here on 5 On Your Side.
