New fast-casual restaurant serving Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban cuisine in Lafayette Square

Many know her as “Plantain Girl,” but Mandy Estrella is now also the owner of Mayo Ketchup.

ST. LOUIS — There’s a new fast-casual restaurant in Lafeyette Square called “Mayo Ketchup.” It serves Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban cuisine.

Many know her as “Plantain Girl,” but Mandy Estrella is now also the owner of this brand new restaurant. She is known for her Puerto Rican food with some Dominican and Cuban influences.

Mayo (pronounced like MY-OH) ketchup is the national condiment of Puerto Rico. They put mayo ketchup on things that people in the U.S. would typically put ketchup on. This famous sauce does have mayonnaise in it, however.

Mayo Ketchup is located at 2001 Park Avenue in Lafayette Square. It’s open Wednesday through Sunday. For more information, click here.
