New rooftop garden opens in Grand Arts Center District

A garden in the sky.

St. Louis, MO — There's a new rooftop garden in St. Louis. It's called Sally's Rooftop Garden and Terrace and it's located on top of the .Zack building in the Grand Arts Center.

The garden is a partnership between the Kranzberg Arts Foundation and non profit Urban Harvest.
It's more than a place to grow fruits and vegetables. Sally's is also an event space for up to 150 people, boasting cool views of the city not to mention you're surrounded by flowers and produce. Food grown here will be used at Turn restaurant and Sophie's Cocktail Lounge which are both located in the .Zack building, as well as the Dark Room which is a half mile away. A portion of the food will be donated to meet the mission of the non profit Urban Harvest, providing healthy food to people who don't have access to grocery stores.
