Show Me St. Louis celebrates World Wish Day

On April 29th, we are "going blue" for World Wish Day.

ST. LOUIS — On Monday, April 29th, Make-A-Wish is celebrating the organization's 40 plus years of granting life-changing wishes. It also marks the anniversary of the first wish that was ever granted in 1980, when a 7-year-old boy who was battling leukemia received his wish to become a police officer. Make-A-Wish grants wishes for children and brings hope, healing and joy to families throughout our region. Studies have proven that a wish has the power to transform a child's medical journey. Nearly 97% of wish families say it can increase a child's emotional health. Right now, there are nearly 600 children across the chapter who are waiting for their wishes to be granted.
