Show Me St. Louis team shares how you can volunteer at St. Patrick Center

ST. LOUIS — In 1983, St. Patrick Center was opened to combat homelessness in the city of St. Louis and surrounding areas. And now, assisting nearly 4,000 individuals and families annually. The non-profit needs our help to continue the mission. So, Show Me stepped in!

The Show Me team volunteered to cook and serve dinner for St. Patrick Center’s Women's Night Program Dinner. The task? Serve 30 people. The Women’s Night Program provides housing and support for homeless women struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and domestic violence.

The program also offers case management and counseling, job training, health care and help finding permanent housing. Showing these women that they are not alone. The nonprofit carries out an important mission that they cannot do so without the community! Beyond donations, St. Patrick Center asks for 2-5 volunteers each night to serve dinner.

Volunteers can prepare the food at their own kitchen or in the kitchen at the center. To learn more, click here.
