This year marks the 120th anniversary of the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair

ST. LOUIS — Today on Show Me St. Louis, Patrick Murphy, author of Prelude to a Century: The 1904 St. Louis World's Fair, sat down to discuss his new book with Mary Caltrider. This year marks the 120th anniversary of the 1904 World's Fair, and a new exhibit is opening at the Missouri History Museum on Saturday, April 27th.  This is a topic of interest that strongly resonates with St. Louisans to this day. Murphy discussed some of the incredible inventions and discoveries at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904. It truly was a cornerstone moment for our city. 

Prelude to a Century: The 1904 St. Louis World's Fair  book launch will be held at the Missouri History Museum on Thursday, April 11th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. An event will also be held at Webster Books this Saturday, April 13th from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Webster Books is located at 27 N. Gore, Webster Groves, MO 63119. On Sunday, April 14th from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. there will be a book signing at Main Street Books located at 307 S. Main St., St. Charles, MO 63301. And a final book signing on Saturday, April 27th from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at The Kerry Cottage, located at 113 N. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, MO 63122.
