Wellness Wednesday: Colorectal Cancer Awareness

ST. LOUIS — March is colorectal cancer awareness month. For today's Wellness Wednesday segment, Dr. Hyun Kim from Washington University Siteman Cancer Center and the Senior Executive Director of the American Cancer Society, Elizabeth Brown, joined Mary Caltrider live in the studio. 

Th experts shared information about what is colorectal cancer, who is at risk, and some signs to look out for. The team also shared insight on when men and women should have their first colonoscopy and discussed Siteman's Young Onset Colorectal Cancer Program. 

According to their website, the program "focuses exclusively on providing care for colorectal cancer patients under the age of 50 and addresses concerns that are especially important to younger people."
