ST. LOUIS — I want to take a quick moment to share some bittersweet news with all of you.
After an incredible six years here at 5 On Your Side with the best station and morning crew there is, I've made the difficult decision to step away from a job I love to move back home to Florida to be closer to my family.
It's been my greatest privilege bringing you the news each weekday morning here at 5 On Your Side and I want to thank you for allowing me into your home to share the laughs, the tears the good and the bad. It's been a remarkable journey. And while I will miss my today in St. Louis family very much, I'm looking forward to not having to board a plane to see my mom, dad and sisters. Instead, I can hop in my car and drive to their house.
It's been 11 years since we’ve lived in the same state.
My husband and I look forward to watching our boys grow up with their cousins and really, really get to know their grandma and grandpa.
This business has allowed me to work in all different markets across the country and I am forever grateful to have landed here in St. Louis. You all have been the most welcoming, kindest people I've met. St. Louis has become my home away from home. And it always will be.
I want to thank my incredible bosses who have supported me through every step of this decision and are truly happy for me and my family.
And for all of you… this isn’t goodbye just yet. My last day will be May 27.
