Florissant Save A Lot reopens this week, almost 1 year after flash floods closed its doors

Nearly a year after flooding caused extensive damage to the store, Save A Lot is reopening on North Lindbergh Boulevard.

FLORISSANT, Mo. — The Save A Lot store located at 468 North Lindbergh Blvd. in Florissant was forced to close its doors back in July 2022 due to the damage caused by historic flash flooding. But nearly one year later after the record rainfall, the north St. Louis County grocery store is reopening for customers.

Following the completion of renovations, the Save A Lot store will officially reopen Wednesday. Customers can expect to see new decor, flooring, signage and fresh interior and exterior paint, according to a release from the discount grocery chain.

“We are excited to bring this store back to life in this community,” Regional Director Vedran Trivic said in a statement. “It’s been here since 2006 and we know how much our customers rely on it. The new modern aesthetic and an easier-to-shop footprint will make it seamless and more enjoyable for customers to shop for grocery essentials they’ve come to expect.”

Starting Thursday, the store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, offering low prices on U.S. Department of Agriculture-inspected meat cut fresh in-store, farm-fresh fruits and vegetables and other non-food items.

To celebrate the reopening, Save A Lot will be sending $10-off-40 coupons via mail and email to the Florissant community.
