High school students' PSA debuts on 5 On Your Side

The project fosters cooperation, creativity, and a focus on what we all have in common.

ST. LOUIS — Students from two area high schools have produced a public service announcement that will air on 5 On Your Side.

The project is a collaboration of KSDK-TV, Gateway STEM High School, and Ladue Horton Watkins High School.

Wednesday, students wrapped up their work with a pizza party at KSDK and a tour of the station’s facilities.

The project fosters cooperation, creativity, and a focus on what we all have in common:

  • “Where did *YOU* go to high school? All St. Louis area residents are familiar with this question.  Whether it’s north, south, east or west, we’re all part of the same city under one Arch. Don’t focus on the pieces, focus on the whole. This question shouldn’t be used to divide or judge, but connect us. More than a record of where you’ve come from, St. Louis is a gateway to your future. Stay Together St. Louis.”

Students and their teachers worked with 5 On Your Side staff to devise the 30-second public service announcement.
