1 dead, 9 injured in shootings throughout Fourth of July night

ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating multiple shootings throughout the City of St. Louis over the Fourth of July.

The first shooting occurred in the 4700 block of Newcomb around 4:15 p.m. A man in his early 30s was shot in his lower leg and thigh. He was conscious and breathing when he was transported to a hospital.

A man arrived at a hospital around 8:40 p.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. He was shot near Grand and West Florissant.

A teen was shot in the leg near Hodiamont and Wabada around 11:45 p.m.

A 31-year-old man was shot in St. Louis' Tower Grove South neighborhood just before midnight. Officers responded to the 3900 block of Potomac where a man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital where he's listed in critical condition.

Around 12:25 a.m., two victims arrived to two separate hospitals with gunshot wounds. According to police, both were shot near 13th and Cass. One of the victims was pronounced dead and the other victim is in critical condition.

A man and a woman were shot while sitting in a vehicle in downtown St. Louis around 1 a.m. Both were transported to a hospital where they’re listed in serious condition.

Around 2:15 a.m., a man arrived to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was shot near Lenor K Sullivan and Carr.

Early Thursday morning, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the hand in the 1300 block of McLaran Avenue. He was transported to a hospital.
