Man faces a dozen charges in connection with south St. Louis County crime spree

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A man was charged Wednesday with several counts of burglary, attempted burglary and property damage in connection with a crime spree last year in south St. Louis County.

According to charging documents, Myron Blount Jr. of St. Louis burglarized two businesses and attempted three other burglaries in the early morning hours of Dec. 29 on Lemay Ferry Road.

The crime spree began at Euro Market Biser, located at 3323 Lemay Ferry Road. Charging documents say surveillance cameras showed Blount shattering the front door and stealing cash and a bottle of liquor before moving on to the neighboring D&J Candy. There, Blount used a tire iron to break a glass plane.

Charging documents say Blount went on to break windows of Kacy Beauty Supplies, located at 3217 Lemay Ferry Road, and Wallpaper, Paint and More, located at 3211 Lemay Ferry Road, before heading northbound toward Thai Orchid Restaurant.

Blount broke the front door of the restaurant, located at 3207 Lemay Ferry Road, and stole cash from inside, according to the documents. His DNA was found at the scene.

Blount was charged Wednesday with the following counts:

  1. Second-degree burglary, a Class D felony.
  2. First-degree property damage, a Class E felony.
  3. Stealing less than $150 with no prior stealing offense, a Class D misdemeanor.
  4. Second-degree attempted burglary, a Class E felony.
  5. First-degree property damage, a Class E felony.
  6. Second-degree attempted burglary, a Class E felony.
  7. First-degree property damage, a Class E felony.
  8. Second-degree attempted burglary, a Class E felony.
  9. First-degree property damage, a Class E felony.
  10. Second-degree burglary, a Class D felony.
  11. First-degree property damage, a Class E felony.
  12. Stealing less than $150 with no prior stealing offense, a Class D misdemeanor.

As of Wednesday, he was being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond.
