ST. LOUIS – A 30-year-old man was taken into custody after a shootout with St. Louis police in the Central West End just after midnight Wednesday.
Officers responded to the 4400 block of West Pine around 12:25 a.m. where a man was found armed with a gun.
The suspect fled on foot and fired shots at an officer and the officer returned fire.
The suspect was taken into custody in the 4500 block of West Pine. The suspect’s firearm was recovered at the scene.
No one was injured during the incident.
