'I want answers' | Mom demands more after teen pleads guilty to killing her 13-year-old son

"There's other people that are responsible that also need to be investigated. I want answers, I want answers," Jainna Grant said.

CENTRALIA, Ill. — A 15-year-old pleads guilty for involuntary manslaughter, after shooting and killing a 13-year old boy in Centralia.

Jaianna Grant, the mother of 13-year-old Jaden Krauss wants answers and believes more needs to be done.

"It's really not that much. I keep hearing that more charges might come after this, but I feel like they are satisfied with this kid that he admitted that he did it," Grant said.

Centralia police responded to a 911 call in the early morning hours of  Saturday, May 4. They found Krauss shot in the head. He died at the hospital, two days later.

Police arrested the 15-year-old and charged him with involuntary manslaughter. But Grant believes there's more to what happened to her son on that day.

"There's other people that are responsible that also need to be investigated. I want answers, I want answers." Grant said.

Other teens were there during the shooting, but only one is being charged. The others were questioned and let go. But police tell us it's still an active investigation, so more charges could be filed. Grant adds that Jaden didn't really hang out with them and he knew them from school.

More than anything, Grant just wants answers for her baby boy. But for now, she's thankful for the community support.

"I just love him so much and I just wish he could see what everyone is doing for him it is incredible," she said. "He would be in awe."

She also hopes to make a difference. Grant says her son was an organ donor. We're told there already have been recipients.

There is a GoFundMe page set up. If you'd like to donate, click here. They are also hosting a Memorial Benefit for Jaden on May 26th. For more information, click here

As for the sentencing date for the 15-year-old boy, it is scheduled for June 26.
