2 Michigan men plead guilty to Jared jewelry robbery

The men could face up to 20 years in prison or fines of up to $250,000.

ST. LOUIS – Two of the four men indicted for robbing a Jared jewelry store robbery pleaded guilty Thursday.

Robert Scott, 29, and Xavier Grove, 34, pleaded guilty pleaded guilty to robbery which interfered with interstate commerce for their roles in the Dec. 4 robbery.

Officials said the group smashed glass cases then took loose diamonds and watches in the presence of employees.

The group ran out of the store and fled the scene on foot.

There were several police officers in the area at the time of the robbery and they pursued the group who were later arrested. The stolen property was recovered.

This case is being investigated by the Richmond Heights Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The men could face up to 20 years in prison or fines of up to $250,000.
