Woman dead after being struck by 2 cars at St. Louis intersection

The crash happened in the middle of the intersection of Clarendon Avenue and Page Boulevard.

ST. LOUIS — A woman was killed Tuesday evening when she was struck by two vehicles in St. Louis' Academy/Sherman Park neighborhood.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded shortly before 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 13 to a crash in the 5200 block of Page Boulevard. 

Police said a woman who was in a wheelchair was crossing northbound on Page, just east of Clarendon Avenue, when she was struck by a black sedan. The vehicle left the scene. 

The woman was lying in the roadway and was struck by a second vehicle, a white SUV, that was traveling westbound on Page. The SUV also left the scene.

EMS transported the woman to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. 

She was identified by police as 60-year-old Micelle Jimerson.

The police department's Accident Reconstruction Unit was investigating the crash.

No additional information regarding the vehicles or investigation was released.
