Big St. Charles Motorsports reopens after large fire

The dealership was open for business at 9 a.m. on Friday, but all operations took place in the Harley Davidson building.

ST CHARLES, Mo. — Multiple fire departments responded to a large fire at Big St. Charles Motorsports Thursday evening.

The dealership was open for business at 9 a.m. on Friday, but all operations took place in the Harley Davidson building.

‘For those of you who have a bike in service, please know we will be doing everything we can do keep you informed,’ Big St. Charles Motorsports said on Facebook.

St. Charles City Fire Department said they believe the fire started in the shop of the dealership and some of the motorcycles had fuel in their tanks at the time of the fire. Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

A firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion. Officials do not believe anyone else was injured.

'Everyone is OK,' Big St. Charles Motorsports said on Facebook.

The Rock N Roll Bike Show was scheduled for July 20. The event is now being postponed.
