FRONTENAC, Mo. — Sarah Glasser wants to change the stigma surrounding cannabis.

That’s in part why she’s opening YENology, a retail boutique in Frontenac selling high-end smoking accessories and luxury goods.

The boutique, set to open Tuesday at 903 S. Lindbergh Blvd., Suite 110, is an antithesis to the common smoke shop.

“I don’t even want to really be associated with a head shop, because I feel like I’m in a different category,” Glasser said.

Smoke shops, also called head shops, specialize in selling paraphernalia used for the consumption of cannabis and tobacco products. And they can be overwhelming for people Glasser said, especially if the shopper is new to cannabis.

YENology will sell specialty bongs and pipes, most of which are made by women artisans, that can’t be found in typical smoke shops. In addition to cannabis paraphernalia, the boutique will sell other goods, including pottery, jewelry, incense and bath bombs.
