ST. LOUIS — Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers on Monday will open its newest local store, as the fast-casual restaurant chain continues its expansion in the St. Louis region and beyond.

Located at 2945 Dougherty Ferry Road in Valley Park, the new store marks the Wichita, Kansas-based company’s 18th location in the region. The company will continue to expand in the coming year, as it's currently constructing a Fenton store, slated to open in July, and is “actively looking for sites” for additional locations in the region, a company spokeswoman said.

The new Valley Park store is a franchised location operated by M&M Custard LLC, an Overland Park, Kansas-based franchisee of the chain. Of Freddy’s 18 St. Louis-area locations, eight are company-owned, and 10 are franchised by M&M Custard, the company said.
