O'FALLON, Ill. — Fifty-one workers will be laid off when the O'Charley's restaurant in O'Fallon, Illinois, closes, according to a notice filed with the state.

The layoffs at the restaurant, 1313 Central Park Drive, are expected to begin Dec. 15 and end Dec. 28, the notice said.

Rosenberg Enterprises LP, tied to Renee Silverstein, owns the property where O'Charley's is located, according to St. Clair County records.

The chain, based in Nashville, has some 200 locations.

The company's president, Craig Barber, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: "As a longtime part of this community, we appreciate our guests and the many friends we made over the years. We are grateful to our team members who so capably served our guests and are assisting them in transitioning to other stores or new employment."

A publicly held operator of airport food and retail concessions is buying a St. Louis-based company that operates restaurants at airports nationwide, including at Lambert. New Jersey-based Hudson Group (NYSE: HUD) has agreed to buy a controlling interest in OHM Concession Group LLC, a privately held airport food and beverage concession operator based here.
