CHESTERFIELD, Mo. — The Chesterfield Police Department lost one of its own Tuesday night, a post on their Facebook page said.
Captain Ed Nestor died peacefully in his sleep after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by his family as he took his last breath.
The post said Nestor was with the department since its beginning, serving as a leader, voice of reason and selfless cop.
He will be remembered as a person who worked tirelessly to make Chesterfield a better place.
