SPANISH LAKE, Mo. — A St. Louis man died early Monday after crashing into a guardrail on Interstate 270 in north St. Louis County.
According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 44-year-old Dwayne Washington was driving eastbound at about 12:40 a.m. Monday on I-270, west of Lilac Avenue, in Spanish Lake.
According to MSHP, Washington was inattentive and going too fast for the wet conditions when his Dodge Charger left the roadway and struck a metal guardrail.
Washington was pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSHP.
