ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — There's another great freebie at the St. Louis County Library.

Starting Wednesday, the county library system is partnering with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra to offer free tickets to new audiences. Each library location will offer vouchers good for two tickets to a classical concert or four tickets to a family concert for first-time SLSO attendees, limit one voucher per library patron.

“We are grateful to the St. Louis County Library team for its partnership in providing access to the remarkably talented musicians of the SLSO," SLSO President and CEO Marie-Hélène Bernard said in a news release announcing the partnership. "We believe music is a shared human experience and look forward to welcoming new audiences to orchestra performances through this collaborative initiative.”

The county library said the program will break down barriers and make symphonic music more accessible.

“This collaboration with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra aligns perfectly with our mission to support the community by providing access to a wide range of cultural experiences," Library Director and CEO Kristen Sorth said in the release.

Powell Hall is still being renovated, so the SLSO is performing shows at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at University of Missouri–St. Louis or Stifel Theatre. For more information about the SLSO, visit the orchestra's website here.
