LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. — An Elsberry man died Friday after falling through the frozen surface of the Mississippi River.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 60-year-old Timothy R. Bryant went missing Friday. Video footage later revealed he fell through the ice at about 5:40 p.m. Friday on the Mississippi River in the Kickapoo Slough.

While searching the following day, the Troop C Marine Division and MSHP Dive Team recovered his body. The Lincoln County coroner pronounced him dead at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
