Metro Transit launching texting and web chat for security, customer service

For customer service and help with trip planning, riders can text 314-207-9786 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

ST. LOUIS — Metro Transit is launching a new way for passengers to get help and file complaints via text message and web chat.

For customer service and help with trip planning, riders can text 314-207-9786 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For public safety, riders can text 314-300-0188 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In an emergency, however, riders are urged to call 911.

If you aren't using your phone, you can visit metrostlouis.org and click on a red chat icon on the lower right of every page. The hours for customer service chat on the website are the same as the text line.
