MoDOT doesn't have enough employees to handle a statewide storm

The Missouri Department of Transportation does not have enough employees if a statewide snowstorm struck, a spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for MoDOT said it is about 500 people short of being able to handle a statewide storm this winter. A spokesperson said they would also need to train several hundred employees how to plow snow.

The spokesperson said MoDOT could be worse off next year if it doesn't receive more funding.
