ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A passenger was killed and two drivers were seriously injured after a head-on crash Sunday morning in north St. Louis County.
According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers responded at about 10:50 a.m. Sunday to a deadly crash near the intersection of Parker Road and Jerries Lane. A Chevy Equinox was traveling westbound on Parker Road when his SUV left the roadway and struck a speed limit sign. He tried to correct and drove into oncoming traffic, striking another car head-on.
The driver of the Equinox was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.
The passenger in the other vehicle was taken to an area hospital and later died as a result of her injuries, police said. The woman was not yet identified. The vehicle's driver was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
The investigation was ongoing as of Sunday evening, police said.
