In a press release Wednesday, the city announced that funding was available for its O’Fallon’s Community Development Block Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Eligible homeowners can get a $7,500, no-interest, forgivable loan for interior home repairs, a $10,000 grant for exterior home repairs or a $3,000 grant for mobile home repairs.

Money from the Interior Home Repair Program can be used on water heaters, sump pumps, windows, HVAC systems, and other large- and small-scale projects.

Grants from the Exterior Home Repair Program can be used on repairs such as siding, roofing, hazardous tree/limb removal, garage doors and other outdoor projects.

Eligible repairs for the Mobile Home Repair Program include HVAC, electrical, plumbing and skirting.
