ST. LOUIS COUNTY – St. Louis County police are now investigating a suspicious death in Lemay Monday afternoon as a homicide.
Police were called to the 600 block of Bayless Avenue for a welfare check at around 4:40. When they arrived, they found a man in his early 50s dead inside his home.
On Monday, police said they were investigating the case as a suspicious death, but would not elaborate. On Tuesday, they identified the man as 51-year-old Jeffrey Breitenfeld and said the investigation is now classified as a homicide.
