Letter sent to parents

CREVE COEUR, Mo. — The director of Priory Junior School has been removed from his roles at the school after 'inappropriate images' were found on his school laptop during a routine IT review, a letter from the school said.

The letter from Headmaster Father Gregory Mohrman — which was sent to parents late last week — said Father Maximilian Toczylowski was removed from his role with the school and was removed from residence at Saint Louis Abbey while the matter is under investigation.

The letter said the school notified the authorities and immediately removed Toczylowski from his roles at the school when the pictures were discovered.

"To the best of our understanding, these images were downloaded from the internet," the letter said, "and the subjects were not associated with Saint Louis Priory School."

The letter goes on to say neither the school nor Saint Louis Abbey have received any allegations of inappropriate behavior by Toczylowski.

The letter said the school would be holding a counselor-facilitated session for parents Monday night to help discuss the incident with their sons.

We have reached out to police and school officials but have not heard back as of 7:45.
