ST. LOUIS COUNTY – An investigation is underway after a woman and her child were found dead in north county Friday night.
Police were called to an apartment in the 6600 block of Crackelwood Lane around 8 p.m. for a suspicious death.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found 24-year-old Ashley Cotton and her 1-year-old son Isaiah Booker dead inside the apartment.
Neighbors told 5 On Your Side Cotton had been renting the apartment for the last three months and was living there with her boyfriend.
Police said the incident is not being investigated as a criminal matter.
