ST. LOUIS — Investigators are asking the public for help identifying two suspects who unsuccessfully tried to steal a pizza delivery driver's car in downtown St. Louis on April 21.

According to police, a woman left her vehicle to deliver a pizza near the Mariott Hotel in the 800 block of Washington Avenue when the two suspects stole it.

The woman went to the front of the car to stop the suspects from driving her car away, but the suspects accelerated anyway.

That's when the victim jumped on the hood of the car, a written release from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said.

"The suspects fled with the victim on the hood of the car,"  the statement said. "The suspects eventually stopped and exited the car at Washington & 4th Street, where they fled from the scene."

An SLMPD spokesperson said the woman was not hurt.

Below are the photos of the two suspects. If you recognize these people, please call the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

"Anyone with a tip who wants to remain anonymous and is interested in a possible reward can contact CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477)," police said. "Tips can also be sent to detectives at 314-444-2500. Be advised, tips submitted directly to detectives are not eligible for CrimeStoppers’ rewards."
