ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A toddler was shot and injured Thursday evening in north St. Louis County.
The St. Louis County Police Department said North County Precinct officers responded just after 7 p.m. to the scene at Chambers Road and Knollcrest Court. The child, who is around 2 years old, was struck by gunfire while inside a vehicle.
The child's injury was not life-threatening, police said. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
Police did not have further details on what led up to the shooting.
