ST. LOUIS — The Weather First Lab is an interactive science show for students at all levels. Tracy tailors the experience for each class, advancing the topics for high school students and simplifying for lower grades. Students get to witness firsthand the power of air vortices, thunderstorms and tornadoes.
The Weather First Lab focuses on Missouri and Illinois weather demystifying the unique and sometimes scary meteorological phenomenon we experience throughout the year. Tracy touches on safety and why certain measures must be taken.
Tracy’s show is not one-sided. Students get to be part of the action! They’ll get to whip up a snow day, witnessing what moisture can really do on a cold day. Students will compete against each other and the weather during the anemometer challenge…are they as powerful as a Midwest thunderstorm? We’ll find out!
The goal of each Weather First Lab is to inspire and engage students in STEM, Science-Technology-Engineering-Math.
Small group? Don’t be shy! Tracy has visited home school groups, Girl Scouts and small classes.
Big group? No problem. The Weather First Lab has even been done in Busch Stadium for a crowd of 3,000 people!
