Anne is the Director of Digital Content at 5 On Your Side. She moved to St. Louis in April 2021 after working as the Digital Content Manager at KPNX in Phoenix, Arizona.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Anne earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Mass Communication at Arizona State University. She says being a reporter for her high school newspaper sparked her interest in journalism.
“Even at that micro-level, I loved being in the front row to history,” she said.
After graduation, she worked as a digital content producer at KERO in Bakersfield, California before accepting a position at her hometown station KPNX.
During her time at KPNX, Anne led the digital team with day-to-day content, organized original storytelling and helped launch 12News.com in 2015. She also organized and created content plans for Super Bowl XVIX, the Final Four in 2017 and the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and PyeongChang.
Despite helping lead coverage on world-wide events, Anne says her most memorable career moments have been covering the death of Sen. John McCain and live-streaming a pair of llamas that got loose in 2015.
Anne decided to move to St. Louis to lead 5 On Your Side’s digital team because she found the culture of the KSDK newsroom appealing.
“People here are kind, smart, helpful and giving,” said Anne. “I love learning about the history of this region.”
Outside of work, Anne considers herself a cat person and is a two-time fantasy football champion. She also enjoys crafting macramé wall hangings and practices as an amateur mechanic.
