Waffle House temporarily closes 8 of its St. Louis area restaurants

ST. LOUIS — Eight St. Louis area Waffle House restaurants are temporarily closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company shared the news on its social media channels. 

Waffle House declared a ‘Waffle House Index Red.’ It announced that it has closed more than 400 restaurants nationwide. More than 1,000 remain open. The Waffle House Index refers to the measure of destruction caused by a natural disaster based on how many Waffle Houses remain open or have closed.
