ST. LOUIS — McCarthy Holdings Inc. will leave its longtime headquarters in Ladue for new digs in St. Louis County.
Come early 2021, the general contractor will leave its company-owned headquarters at 1341 N. Rock Hill Road to lease about 83,000 square feet of space at 12851 Manchester Road in Des Peres, the company confirmed to the Business Journal. John Buescher, president of McCarthy's central region, said the new location will "provide a more efficient and collaborative environment that better suits our current business needs while allowing for future growth opportunities."
McCarthy has not made any decisions regarding the future of its current home, said Buescher, who was not available for further comment.
Research from real estate data firm Reonomy shows McCarthy's Rock Hill building as having around 66,000 square feet.
The construction firm employs more than 600 people locally and more than 4,600 companywide and is among the 10 biggest privately held companies in St. Louis with $3.8 billion in 2018 revenue, according to Business Journal research.
