Amazon to open new sort center in Berkeley

The sort center plans to hire hundreds of full-time and part-time employees

BERKELEY, Mo. — Amazon is opening a new facility in Berkeley later this year.

It will be a sort center where packages will be organized and sorted by ZIP code before customer delivery.

The center plans to hire hundreds of full-time and part-time employees with a minimum pay of at least $15 per hour.

“Amazon is a great place to work with highly competitive pay, benefits from day-one, and training programs for in-demand jobs. Our growth in Missouri is the result of an outstanding workforce, strong local support, and incredible customers,” Regional General Manager Steve McDonnell said.

Job openings will be posted two months before the site opens.
