We're celebrating little wishes shopping season, a time when you can grant a holiday wish for local kids in foster care.
5 On Your Side and the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition kicked things off Saturday morning at the Walmart store in Kirkwood.
Hundreds of shoppers came out to support the cause by buying gift after gift for the children.
“It’s such a great event to help kids that might be a little less fortunate and might not have as much under the tree this year,” said shopper David Schoemehl. “And they make it so easy to come out, buy a gift, figure out what the kids need. And they even ship it off for you.”
