BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Police in Belleville are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who robbed a business at gunpoint Monday night.
Officers responded to Belleville Food Mart at 1424 Centreville Avenue around 10:25 p.m. for an armed robbery.
An employee, a 31-year-old man, said he was robbed while inside the store.
The employee described the robber as a man wearing a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, slim built, 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall, black mask, blue jeans, no gloves and armed with a black handgun.
No one was injured during the incident.
