Man found dead inside burning north St. Louis County home

St. Louis County Crimes Against Persons and Arson and Explosives detectives are investigating the deadly incident.

CASTLE POINT, Mo. — A man was found dead Tuesday night inside a burning north St. Louis County home.

St. Louis County Police Department Crimes Against Persons and Regional Arson and Explosives detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers with the North County Precinct responded to a house fire at about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 10500 block of Baron Drive. After fire crews extinguished the flames, they found a man who was dead inside the home.

Police on Thursday identified the victim as 46-year-old Freddie Tribbitt.
