Man, woman follow car that fled from accident and get shot at in south city

Police said the car of the person who fired shots was found unoccupied in the area of 2nd and George Street.

ST. LOUIS — An investigation is underway after shots were fired at two people who followed a car that left the scene of an accident Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Sidney Street around 12:15 p.m. where a man and woman said they were traveling west on Gravois when they saw an accident at Gravois and Arsenal. 

One of the cars in the accident left the scene, so the man and woman followed them.

Neither victim was injured.

Police said the car of the person who fired shots was found unoccupied in the area of 2nd and George Street.
