ST. LOUIS- St. Louis native Sterling K. Brown continues to win and make history.
At Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG), Brown won outstanding male actor in a drama series for his role on NBC’s “This Is Us.” He became the first African American to win the award at the 24th annual SAG Awards.
“It’s always the responsibility of the minority to understand how to negotiate the majority’s world,” Brown said after accepting his award.
Earlier this month, Brown became the first African American to win a Golden Globe for a television drama.
The cast of “This Is Us” won Outstanding Performance by an ensemble in a drama series.
