ST. LOUIS — A quick-service burger chain has signed with a local operating group to open eight St. Louis-area stores in the next five years. But the Atlanta-based company’s plans don’t stop there, as it expects to open as many as 25 stores in the region over the next 10 years.

“We’re growing out of Louisiana, and we have developed everything south of St. Louis, so the next logical choice was for us to open St. Louis for development,” Smalls Sliders Chief Development Officer Richard Leveille said, noting the company sees “strong demand” for concept in the region.

Smalls Sliders, which opened its first location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2019 and is known for its cheeseburger sliders, will open its first St. Louis-area store later this year, Leveille said.

He declined to share specific locations but said the company is in discussions for seven parcels throughout the region.
