ST. LOUIS — A contractor is asking a state court to order the Maggie O'Brien's restaurant in downtown St. Louis to be sold, so that proceeds can be used to pay debts.

Darryl Yahl said in a lawsuit filed Wednesday in St. Louis Circuit Court that in 2021 he provided architectural, engineering and construction services for a rehab of Maggie O'Brien's, 2000 Market St. in Downtown West. But $134,652 is still owed, Yahl alleged.

The restaurant underwent a major refurbishment and expansion ahead of the first season for Major League Soccer franchise City SC, which has its stadium, CityPark, located across Market from Maggie O's.
