Car crashes into building in East St. Louis overnight

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — A car crashed into a building in East St. Louis, causing significant damage to the building. 

The crash happened at a building near the intersection of 22nd Street and State Street in East St. Louis early Monday morning. 

Video from the scene showed a black sedan with significant damage to the front end. The corner of the building had significant damage.

Illinois State Police said the East St. Louis Police Department is handling the crash investigation. 5 On Your Side has requested information related to the crash, but no information has been provided.
